Whether it is a complete performance overhaul or just a simple coat of paint, many ATV owners love to customize their vehicles. The only thing better than owning a quad is owning a quad that reflects your riding needs and unique personality. That is why Road Track & Trail has created this guide to ATV customization.

Paint & Decals

A new coat of paint is a great way to make your ATV stand out. You can choose any color you want as long as the paint itself is compatible with your model. If you want to further change up the way that your ATV looks, consider adding a few decals. 

LED Lights

LED light bars are great for those who do a lot of riding close to dusk and dawn. Not only are they more powerful than your standard headlights, but they can also be customized to meet your unique needs, such as offering more peripheral visibility. 

Windshields

Windshields reduce riding fatigue, arm strain, and back pain by providing protection against harsh weather and flying debris. If you find that your last few ATV rides left you feeling a bit sore, consider installing a windshield. 

Tires

While the all-purpose tires that come with your ATV can handle most terrain, swapping out for more specialized tires can be very beneficial. For example, if you know that you will be riding over a lot of sand, a pair of sand tires will greatly improve your riding experience. 

Seating

If you find that your current seating arrangements don’t offer enough comfort, the market is full of seats, covers, and backrests designed to improve your ergonomics. Soon, you will be able to tackle even the longest rides without needing a break. 

Cargo Box

Cargo boxes are one of the most useful ATV accessories on the market. While those doing utility work will appreciate the extra storage, they are also great for recreational riders. A cargo box is a great place to stow a packed lunch for the trail, as well as any emergency supplies you may need to keep with you at all times.
